Why Study in Nepal?
Nepal shares a long, open border with India and a familiar culture, food and climate, which makes it one of the easiest destinations for Indian students to adapt to. Its established medical colleges are affiliated to reputed universities such as Kathmandu University (KU) and Tribhuvan University (TU).
Medical colleges in Nepal are recognised by the Nepal Medical Council (NMC) and regulated by the Medical Education Commission (MEC), and are listed in the World Directory of Medical Schools — making graduates eligible for FMGE/NExT in India, subject to National Medical Commission (NMC, India) norms.
The MBBS curriculum is taught in English and is closely comparable to the Indian pattern, and the short travel distance means parents can visit easily. Our partner colleges in Kathmandu, Biratnagar and Janakpur offer clear, installment-based fee structures (quoted in Indian Rupees for Indian students).
